This project analyzes Pennsylvania’s political controversies over currency and trade from 1720 through 1723. Originally my undergraduate thesis, this paper won the Pennsylvania Historical Association 2024 William A. Pencak Prize and the American Historical Association 2025 Raymond J. Cunningham Prize.
